The Strategic Results Accelerator: Learning the Fundamentals
This is the 90 day challenge. It’s a face the music intensive boot camp of attitude and action change that meets once a week to teach you how to build the habits that will get you to your goal. This course introduces you to the core concepts of setting goals then works with you to put it all together.
You’re going to lose the excuses fast- because once you learn what they’ve cost you, you won’t tolerate anything less than your best. It’s like going from black & white TV to high definition, it becomes that clear.
The first part is clearly identifying what you want. Although it’s not rocket science, it takes some work. Our culture is tuned to the negative and when we start we hear participants saying – “Well, I can tell what I don’t want.” We say: “You need to nail what you really, really, really want – even if you don’t think you can get it.”
That’s where the fun begins because now that you have a clear idea of what you want (financial independence, a bigger house, a speaking career, more income, etc.), we start working on the strategy, the attitude, the action, the time, the skills and the learning you are going to need to get there. When you start seeing how.
Start with the Fundamentals
When we talk about fundamentals, we’re talking about how to make the time to work on a goal consistently (that means daily in our lingo).
Setting a goal sounds simple but involves habit change, clear definition the first step. Next, we identify the obstacles and strategies to work around them, other component include how to create the action plan that will get you there, how to measure your progress (we like you to confirm your success) and how you will know you’ve achieve it.
You know you’re giving up before you start if you don’t think you can. The SRA is a boot camp (this is not the same thing as a spa)- you put yourself here to face reality not avoid it. Once you join it, you are expected to WORK to COMPLETION. Not only that…you are expected to help others get the concepts too. You learn also by teaching others. Generosity pays off – it will pleasantly surprise you.
Change your “buts” (excuses) to “ands” – as in “I used to say “ BUT I’ve always done it this way AND now that I’ve learned how to set my goals, I’m doing things much differently.”
The Difference between Knowing and Doing
You know to be healthy you need to lose some weight but for some reason, you can’t get it done. You know to achieve financial prosperity you need a plan to achieve it but you’re stuck in the busy life that demands so much from you.
There’s a real difference between knowing and doing. That difference is practice – all the actions repeated over time that create new habits of action. Take a leap and see what it feels like to get yourself into action and get your goals accomplished so you can set even bigger ones.
Prepare to grow your confidence. When you find yourself wondering why you waited so long to learn this technology you will start to move your own personal mountains. This course takes commitment which, of course, you need to achieve any goal.
