Take a moment to analyze your fear…
“The essence of bravery is being without self-deception.” Pema Chodrun
Most of us spend our time trying to avoid our fear instead of facing it head on. We worry that we aren’t good enough, compare ourselves to others, and make excuses, saying “this is the way I am.” We decide to go after something we want and when the first obstacles appear in our path, we quit thinking to ourselves: “I’ll never be able to do this – what was I thinking?”
You’ve read this a million times by now and deep down you think there might be some truth to wildly successful entrepreneurs, holy men, leaders in every area of life, actors, and coaches when they say “nothing is impossible.” Here’s the secret: You have to believe it’s possible for you to achieve whatever you want. And…. You’ll have to change some of the things that are currently stopping you from getting there.
He stands then promptly sits down. He tries again, and again, he sits down. Does he give up after the third try? No. He keeps practicing until he gets so good he can stand with no hands. Then confidence kicks in and he takes his first step. (This is genetically coded to prevent parents from having to carry ever growing children and therefore wrecking their backs as they age.)
If we try something a couple times and don’t succeed the way we think we should, we make the assumption that since we don’t seem to know how to do something, we are failures. This is followed by a feeling of severe hopelessness, then searing fear about who we really are. This is the impact of quitting too soon.
You become fearless by noticing what is in the way and creating the determination to create a new path for yourself.
Our programs are designed for people who are ready to stop the excuses and take the steps to find their own greatness. Take a look at our offerings to see which ones fit you.
